The Challenge

SLIM Search, Inc.

Cartesian Gridspeed, Ltd., a privately held New Zealand-based biotechnology company, was expanding through a planned launch of a new subsidiary company, SLIM Search, Inc., to serve the North American market.  One of the goals for SLIM Search was to establish a new identity with messaging that communicated their strong value proposition to a new audience within the genomic search tool market.  To support the introduction of its new search technology, Cartesian Gridspeed offered a free download of their genomic research tool.  This introduction method generated an average of only one download request per month.

Our solution

Golden Impressions Marketing was engaged by Cartesian Gridspeed's management to launch SLIM Search through multiple marketing and public relations campaigns.  In concert with the company's management we developed the positioning for SLIM Search and initiated a marketing plan to articulate the messaging for the company and its advanced search technology.  After developing a company backgrounder, fact sheet, FAQ and profile we began to release one press announcement per month to the wire services.  Additionally, each announcement is distributed through a highly focused email news service.  As part of the positioning for the company in the North American market, SLIM Search chose to participate in the Next Generation Sequencing trade show.  Golden Impressions was responsible for securing and managing a speaking slot as well as the exhibit presence.  We coordinated all pre-show activities as well as the post-show direct mail campaign for attendees interested in the SLIM Search solution.

Golden Impressions supports the development and delivery of news on SLIM Search’s latest announcements, technical articles, commentaries and market briefs.  These placements appear in the industry’s leading trade publications and online media worldwide.

The results

Early results have included coverage of the company's technology in two feature articles: OBBeC; a news portal that "Brings Business to The World of Biotechnology & Informatics" and Genetic Engineering News; a publication covering "Biotechnology from bench to business".  The press materials and feature articles provide new ways to reach out and increase traffic to the SLIM Search web site.  Directly corresponding to the company's marketing investments, the download requests for their genomic search tool increased from one per month to over one per day, a 3,000% increase.  Golden impressions efforts created multiple new sales opportunities for SLIM Search and are attributed to leading to a new strategic account, a highly recognized authority within the next generation sequencing market.

The Challenge

Objectivity, Inc.

Having successfully weathered the technology downturn, Objectivity, Inc., a privately held provider of object-oriented database management solutions wanted to re-position the company.  The goal was to define a new identity and messaging that communicated stability, knowledge base expertise and product leadership to audiences and customers within their targeted business segments.  These include process control, medical and telecommunications equipment, government, internet infrastructure and financial services.

Our solution

Golden Impressions was retained by Objectivity, Inc. to develop and mange their worldwide B2B public relations program.  As a part of that effort we developed press releases, press kit materials and received coverage from major internet news portals as well as secured feature articles in targeted government publications.  In 2005 Golden Impressions was given the added responsibility for WorldView, Objectivity’s international user’s conference.  This conference featured a Press Conference and a Customer Solutions Showcase venue in addition to an informative program that was kicked off with a keynote speech by Jack Israel, CTO for the FBI.  Golden Impressions is currently managing many marketing communications efforts for Objectivity in addition to their public relations program.  These include trade shows, literature and sales tool creation in addition to business development activities through a highly focused industry analyst relations program.

Golden Impressions supports the development and delivery of news on Objectivity’s latest solutions through announcements, technical articles, commentaries as well as application notes and market briefs.  The placements appear in the industry’s leading trade publications and online media around the world.

The results

Industry leaders, customers, analysts and marketing partners in the U.S., Europe and Asia compliment Objectivity on its brand recognition and corporate awareness.  Golden Impressions continues to be a strategic resource for Objectivity, having contributed to 17 consecutive quarters of record profitability when they relied heavily on public relations as their primary outreach program for lead generation and corporate visibility.

The Challenge

Aithent, Inc.

Founded in 1991, Aithent, Inc. is a leader in global information technologies offering specialized services and innovative software solutions for the government, health care, insurance and financial markets.  As a privately owned company with operations throughout the world, Aithent had low awareness within their targeted audiences for a new service offering they were undertaking.  Aithent was planning to use a regional conference in Pennsylvania to springboard the introduction of a new financial services solution for the market.  The immediate objective was to define a corporate identity and messaging that communicated stability, knowledgeable expertise and leadership for the audiences within their targeted business segments from the financial sector including banks, insurance companies and credit unions.

Our solution

Golden Impressions was initially engaged by Aithent's management to execute the product launch and promotional campaign for their new Hosted FPI and ECM solutions.  Working within a three week pre-show window we developed new positioning for the company and their new product offering in concert with senior management to crystallize the company's branding message.  We created the company backgrounder and Business Wire profile for the press kit in addition to two press releases about the new hosted FPI product and the first customer deployment.  We also developed a pre-show invitation to visit the company's booth which was followed by a post-show fulfillment email campaign for attendees interested in the Aithent solution.  We subsequently produced multiple white papers and additional press releases derived from customer interviews.  Additionally, we co-developed an executive presentation for Aithent's business development program and worked with the ECM team to develop the branding and logo to be used by this business unit of Aithent.

The results

The immediate impact of Aithent's news has resulted in coverage by over 60 major news portals and media outlets reaching over 26 million potential readers.  The initial press development work for the product launch at the regional trade show enabled us to secure a feature article in the Credit Union Times, which interviewed and wrote about Aithent's customer, The Franklin Mint.  As a side benefit, the press materials and feature article provided Aithent with new information to help drive traffic to their web site by keeping it fresh and informative.  Most recently Golden Impressions participated in the development of a new trade show exhibit that the company will be using for future shows and trade events.  We support the development and delivery of news on Aithent's latest solutions and their product advancements through announcements, white papers and customer application stories.  The placements appear in the industry's leading trade publications and online media around the world.
